Description

Arganova®

(argatroban)

Arganova® is an anticoagulant (a substance that prevents blood clots from forming in the bloodstream). It blocks the effect of thrombin, a substance in the blood that plays an important role in blood coagulation.

Arganova® can be prescribed to patients suffering from type II heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (type II HIT).

Type 2 heparin-induced thrombocytopenia increases the risk of blood clots in the bloodstream. These blood clots may lead to heart attacks, strokes, breathing difficulty and issues with blood supply to the limbs. Arganova® may prevent these problems, or prevent them from getting worse.
